Son Dos Alas

Son Dos Alas is an ethnography about music between Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the United States.

As an extension of the ethnographic work, author and anthropologist Dr. Melisa Rivière, founded a non-profit organization dedicated to building cultural and educational bridges between her fieldwork locations.

The mission of the organization is to (1) conduct non-partisan research, educational, cultural, and informational activities about Cuba and Puerto Rico; (2) create ethical educational and cultural engagement between the United States and Cuba; and (3) increase public awareness about and between the United States and Latin American communities.
